Raleigh police said the two shots were not related. According to Raleigh police, officers responded to the first shot at the 2800 block of Laodicea Drive around 2:15 p.m. Police have confirmed that the man shot in Laodicea Drive died from his injuries. The second shot was fired shortly after at Battle Bridge Road 6200, 15 minutes later at around 2:30 p.m. Police said a woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after the shooting on Battle Bridge Road. Officials said officers and detectives are currently in both scenes and conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances of the incident.
