A 19-year-old Bruce Mines resident has been charged with sexual assault that allegedly occurred on March 3, according to a press release issued by Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. Johnathan Dubois is accused of touching two minors “for sexual purposes” and threatening them with violence if they tried to leave, the statement said. He faces a number of charges, including gun assault and coercion. The full text of the press release is as follows: On March 25, 2022, Search and Patrol Officers charged 19-year-old Johnathan Dubois of Bruce Mines, Ont. with sexual intervention and sexual assault. On March 3, 2022, [it is alleged that] The accused and two minors were in a vehicle when he touched them for sexual purposes and threatened them with violence if they tried to leave the vehicle. The two victims managed to get out of the vehicle and the police were called. As a result of the investigation that followed, an arrest warrant was requested and issued for the accused. Police located him on March 25, 2022 and he was arrested on the basis of the warrant.
