Emergency crews were called to the Lake Shore area of Boulevard West and Superior Avenue shortly after 5:30 a.m. Thursday for reports of two pedestrians being hit by a white SUV. Toronto rescuers said three people were found dead at the scene. Investigators confirmed that all two pedestrians and the driver were killed in the collision. They have not disclosed their ages or gender, as they are in the process of notifying their relatives.

Detective Scott Matthews told Global News that the driver was speeding east on Lake Shore Boulevard West. The story goes on under the ad The detective said that the driver quickly crossed the intersection on Superior Avenue – at the red light – hitting the two pedestrians who had the right of way. The driver continued to drive and then hit a parked truck with a flat surface that was part of a construction site at the other end of the intersection and most likely erupted, police said.
