A Free Vaccination Clinic Was Held In Milton Following An Outbreak Of Hepatitis A

Halton Region Public Health is asking customers who visited between August 8 and 14 to get vaccinated if they do not have previous immunity through vaccines or a previous infection. The Medical Health Officer held a free clinic this weekend at 180 Market Drive. Chopped Leaf’s site states that Public Health was contacted about the positive case of Hepatitis A. Public Health also visited the restaurant and told the franchisee that they were happy with the sanitation procedures they have in place. Public Health says people who ate or drank at The Chopped Leaf between July 30 and August 5 should watch for symptoms. The Chopped Leaf has confirmed with us that no other staff have been infected and says they will continue to follow Public Health guidelines. The vaccination clinic will be open on August 21st from 9am to 3pm and on August 22nd from 3pm to 7pm.
