The A390 crash on the Sticker was first reported around 4.15pm. on Sunday (March 27). A van and a motorcycle collided on the road, causing the cyclist to be trapped under the van. The driver of the van was also trapped in their vehicle. The Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service rushed to the scene, along with an ambulance, a land ambulance, police and freeway crews. Firefighters worked to free the motorcyclist from under the van before delivering him for immediate treatment by Cornwall Air Ambulance paramedics at the scene. The second detainee, the driver of the truck, was also released from the collision by the fire brigade and was treated by ambulances found at the scene. Many emergency calls were made after the incident, prompting a response from St Austell and St Dennis fire crews backed by Bodmin teams. The A390 closed shortly after the crash and reopened shortly before 6am this morning. Investigators at the crash site worked all night to analyze the site. A Devon-Cornwall police spokesman said: “Police were called yesterday at 4.10pm to the A390 near Sticker, St Austell, following reports of a truck-and-motorcycle collision. The cyclist, a man about 20 years old, suffered many serious injuries, is not believed to be life threatening and was taken to hospital for treatment. The driver of the van suffered minor injuries. “The road was closed for several hours, while emergency services were present and police conducted investigations at the scene.
