A Louisiana man stopped to help a kitten on the side of the road before being ambushed by a litter, which he eventually helped bring home. The video of Robert Brantley rescuing 13 kittens in June recently resurfaced on Twitter, and viewers are just as happy as they were the first time. Brantley was driving home in Pioneer, Louisiana, on June 7 when he “got what I thought was a baby kitten all by himself,” he told Viral Hog. A small black, brown and white kitten can be seen wandering on the side of the road in the viral video before he rushes up to him, where he scoops it up and shows the little kitten to the camera. Moments later, Brantley can be heard saying, “Oh, no.” The Southerner was immediately ambushed by a swarm of kittens, eagerly awaiting his attention. Kitten after kitten was seen leaping over the grass and gathered excitedly around his feet. “I thought I was saving one, hot-diggity-dog,” he is heard saying. Robert Brantley rescued 13 kittens in June after stopping by his home when he saw Scout (pictured) wandering around alone Shortly after he approached the small cat, dozens of others sprouted from the grass and ran towards him. He would end up taking them home and placing them back into good families The family held three kittens, Ruby, Scout and Milo (pictured) and showed them sleeping in a cage by the window The dad-of-two eventually packed all 13 kittens into his car and drove them home. ‘[I] he wasn’t ready to take them, but he couldn’t let them die,” he told Viral Hog. “So I loaded them up and brought them home, where we work to get them healthy and have a good home.” A day later, he shared a video of his car tearing up with chirping kittens roaming every inch, as he playfully moaned: “My regular Honda wasn’t prepared for this.” He revealed that he loaded the little fur balls by rolling down the car window and “cramming them in”. “I couldn’t keep up with them as I would throw one in and two would jump out,” she wrote on Instagram in June. Brantley went on to share the kitty’s bath time, showing little Scout getting cleaned up in a kiddie pool. The kittens – Scout, Ruby, Nala, Michael Scott, Zeus, Champ, Sandy, Milo, to name a few – were mostly converted. The family kept Ruby, Scout and Milo. Brantley last updated the world by showing his precious new kittens casually lounging in a box by the window. The Brantley family shared several photos of the kittens and even included some of their names, which include: Nala, Scout, Ruby and Milo The Brantley family would go on to help another dog that had just had a puppy in the same spot where the kittens were found and rescue a few dogs as well. His wife, Courtney, would later adopt eight puppies after discovering that an “old man had a yard full of cats and dogs.” “She and the children went to feed [and] water them and we found this cute litter of puppies there. They were in bad shape but looked good after a bath and some good food,” Brantley wrote on Facebook on June 19. DailyMail.com contacted Brantley for an update on the kittens.
