Police began investigating the man’s disappearance Friday, saying he was traveling from Victoria to Calgary but had not arrived when he was supposed to. “He was reported to be camping in the area near the Seebe Dam,” a press release said on Tuesday. “RCMP and RCMP Police Dog Services, along with Kananaskis Search and Rescue, attended the area and conducted a helicopter search.” Despite this, the missing person was not located. The following day, rescue crews searched the water at the Seebe Dam, locating the man’s body. RCMP say the death is not being treated as suspicious. The man’s identity has not been released. RCMP will only say he was 29 and lived in Victoria. Seebe Dam is located approximately 35 kilometers west of Calgary near Kananaskis.
