UPDATE: 4:45 p.m. The BC RCMP withdrew the Amber Alert issued this morning following the peaceful completion of an alleged parental abduction, with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) locating the family safely. The Amber Alert was released at 12:15 a.m. Saturday after Fort St John RCMP believed Jason Dalrymple had taken Dawn Bellamy and her two children against their will. Police said they may be in danger while he was in his presence. The indications were that the suspect was heading east, possibly to Ontario. Information was sent to the police in neighboring jurisdictions across the country, which also launched its own search efforts. Until 3:30 p.m. PT (6:30 p.m. ET), OPP confirmed that it had located the vehicle and the four men in Kenora, Ontario, just east of Manitoba. The RCMP said in a press release that the man had been taken into custody. The mother and her two children are safe and receiving support. “We would like to thank our law enforcement partners in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario for helping to find them all so quickly. They have extended Amber Alert to their provinces, monitored TIPS and conducted surveys,” he said. ORIGINAL: 12:25 p.m. Mountains in British Columbia say the Amber Alert has been activated as they search for a four-year-old boy and his sister who were allegedly abducted on Thursday. Liam Bellamy and his 10-month-old sister Myra are said to have disappeared from Fort St. Louis. John and their father Jason Dalrymple are the suspects. “The Fort St. John RCMP has reason to believe that Jason Dalrymple took Dawn Bellamy and her two children against their will from their home in Fort St John and that they are in danger while they are in his presence,” he said. Liam is described as having short, dark brown hair with brown eyes, while his sister, Myra, has very light hair with blue-hazel eyes. Police say their 36-year-old father is bald and often wears hats or tops, while he has a mustache or goat light brown and reddish color. The children’s mother, 23-year-old Dawn Bellamy, is described as a native with dark brown hair, brown eyes and possibly wearing blue glasses. Police are asking the public to call 911 if they see the children or the suspect. They say they should not approach him.
