On October 21 last year, Alec Baldwin starred in the fatal shooting of filmmaker Halyna Hutchins on the set of Western Rust in New Mexico. Her family sued him and the other producers of the film, claiming that their “bad” contempt in view of the complaints about the safety of the set immediately led to her death. At least four other lawsuits have been filed for the shooting. Baldwin, who was to star in the film, was pointing a gun at Hutchins in a small church as he prepared to shoot a scene when it exploded, killing Hutchins and injuring director Joel Souza. Hilaria Baldwin’s post did not mention the tragedy. She called her pregnancy “a blessing and a gift in such uncertain moments.”
