All console versions are still limited to 60 Hz, with the 120 Hz game being referred to as a future upgrade (however, once the PS5 supports 120 Hz output, it will be able to force it even on games that do not have built-in support if you wish try it). When I spoke to the developers before the release of this season, Defiance, they said we would see new next-generation features coming out throughout the year with the new seasons. Other features confirmed in the works are the adaptive trigger and the tactile support for the PlayStation 5 DualSense controller.
The Warriors Collection Event will bring the next generation versions of Apex Legends to PS5 and XSX!

The other area where systems differ is how players will receive their updates. On the Xbox Series X and Series S, the Smart Delivery technology used by Microsoft means that your console should automatically download the correct version without any interference as soon as it is released. On the PlayStation, it’s a little more complicated. If you have already installed the game on PS5, you will find the title in Game Hub, select Options instead of Play Game, and then tell it to download the PS5 version. If you have not installed it but have played it before, you will simply find the game in your library and be sure to select the PS5 version when prompted.
On all consoles and computers, the second half of the twelve seasons includes many fixes to stop things like hackers activating dual-use weapons and various bugs that could be used to exploit loaded-in weapons like the Rampage LMG or Sentinel sniper. There is also, of course, a new variety of cosmetic upgrades to buy and a new heirloom that players can get to use the Crypto character.

The Warriors event will also restore the Limited Time Control feature for another two weeks, with some improvements and a new map. It has been well received by players last time, but there is still no information on whether we can expect it to become a regular part of the game or whether we will see even more game modes that go beyond the standard battle royale setting.
One thing that was not mentioned at all in the news was last week’s massive content leak that revealed new characters, skins, weapons and emotions that the developers are working on. The extent of the leaks is supposed to extend to the next two years for the game, but based on the changes we’ve seen, I think there may be more surprises in Apex Legends that have yet to be revealed.
