The Shipping and Coast Guard (MCA) was alerted by police to assist following reports of the latest rockfall this morning, March 27th. An MCA spokesman said: “Our team from the Beer Coast Guard rescue team went and cordoned off the area to keep people safe.” Read more: The owner performs life-saving surgery on a discarded puppy It was also confirmed that the local council had been informed and was going to set up a fence. Last summer there were five huge falls in one morning along the cliffs between Syndmouth and Salcomb Mouth. The area is famous for dangerous rock falls and the signage along the edge and on the beach advises visitors to stay away from the area. In three weeks in late May and June last summer, there were four separate rock falls that triggered safety warnings from the local coast guard. Scroll down for more information.
