The Shipping and Coast Guard (MCA) was alerted by police to help following reports of the latest rockfall this morning, March 27, Devon Live reports. An MCA spokesman said: “Our team from the Beer Coast Guard rescue team went and cordoned off the area to keep people safe.” It was also confirmed that the local council had been informed and was going to set up a fence. The area is famous for dangerous rock falls and signage along the edge and the beach advises visitors to stay away from the area. In three weeks in late May and June last summer, there were four separate falls from rocks, prompting safety warnings from the local coast guard. This is a live blog, scroll down for updates
