A Northumbria police spokesman said: “At around 11pm on Saturday we received a report of an attack on Tynemouth Tube Station. “It was reported that a 16-year-old man was attacked by a group of perpetrators, who then fled the scene. The victim suffered non-life-threatening head injuries. “Investigations are ongoing.
