The death toll rises across the province to 2,990 since the pandemic began two years ago. Hospitalizations dropped once again, with 273 patients currently receiving treatment compared to 288 on Monday, which jumped from Friday. Of those 273 patients, 46 were in the intensive care unit, two less than on Monday.

The county also reported 287 new laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 cases, but warned that the numbers were temporary due to data updates. The cases were distributed relatively evenly among the county health authorities except North Health, which reported 21 of the cases. Fraser Health recorded the most cases with 75, followed by 67 in Vancouver Coastal Health, 63 in Island Health and 61 in Interior Health. According to the province, 90.8 per cent of eligible British Colombians aged five and over have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, while 87.3 per cent have received two.
