Cody Rhodes made his big WWE comeback at WrestleMania on Saturday and faced Seth Rollins in the singles competition. Rhodes received a loud pop from the attending fans and the duo gave a bang in the ring. Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso has now shared a script that reveals details about Cody’s contract to the WWE. The former AEW star has now signed a multi-year contract with the WWE. Rhodes will also act as Executive Producer in WWE’s Dusty Rhodes documentary about A&E. Cody Rhodes is back in the WWE after six years

Rhodes applied for WWE release in mid-2016 and was granted shortly thereafter. He became one of the biggest names in the world of professional wrestling and played a key role in the creation of All Elite Wrestling with the Young Bucks. Cody was one of the hottest actors on AEW TV for most of his time at the company. He also won the TNT Championship. All this time, Cody has talked about his former employer on several occasions. While he shot several shots in the WWE, there were times when he spoke positively about Vince McMahon, Triple H and other senior executives. In a written statement in 2019, Rhodes praised a number of big names in the WWE, including Vince McMahon and Randy Orton. “I had the best education one could ever get for this job. A professional since the age of 15. Eleven years under the tree of learning like Randy Orton, Vince McMahon, Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko and “Countless other legends. And, of course, the three decades I spent talking and fighting daily with the American Dream itself,” Rhodes wrote. It was Cody who came out the winner of the meeting. A cross of Rhodes finished the match as it stood at its height, with great pop from the fans. It remains to be seen what will follow for Cody on WWE TV now that he has made an impressive comeback putting down one of the company’s biggest names.
