Years ago, the president said, he tried to visit Bo in Baghdad, but found it difficult. “I went in and looked for my son and I came back and I wondered, ‘Where the hell is my son?’ Biden told the soldiers. When he finally found him, he realized that his son had used a different surname in the label of his name. “I said, ‘What happened?’ remembers the president. “And he said, ‘Dad, by the name of Biden, everyone thinks something is going on.’ Mr Biden then offered to provide the same service to others. “Well, if any of you need to change your name, let me know, okay?” said the president. Mr Biden met with officials from the 82nd Airborne Division in Rzeszow, Poland, on Friday, not far from the Ukrainian border. Biden has sent thousands of additional troops to Eastern Europe to bolster NATO defenses as the war in Ukraine continues. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is now in its second month. The United Nations estimates that at least 1,035 Ukrainian civilians have been killed in the war so far and 1,650 have been injured. Meanwhile, more than 3.7 million people have fled the country. Many of these refugees have come to Poland and the troops Biden spoke to helped them find food and shelter. On Friday, the president personally thanked them. “Thank you so much for everything you do,” Biden said. “You are the best fighting force in the history of the world and that is no exaggeration.”
