Evan Vucci / AP US President Joe Biden wrapped up a four-day trip to Europe on Saturday, holding talks with Polish President Andrei Duda, meeting with Ukrainian refugees and delivering a landmark speech in Warsaw. During his speech, Biden said that Russia “can not stay in power.” The White House later clarified that it did not call for regime change, saying the president’s view was that “Putin is not allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region.” Earlier this week, Biden attended three last-minute summits in Belgium on the Ukraine crisis. He announced a new punishment for members of the Russian parliament and unveiled a plan for the United States to accept up to 100,000 Ukrainian refugees. The trip was one of the highest-stakes presidential trips in recent memory, offering Biden the opportunity to lead a newly united West.
