Using reported bird deaths provided by the Fatal Light Awareness Program (FLAP) Canada, a charity that has been working to raise awareness and address the issue of deadly conflicts for nearly 30 years, CTVNews.ca was able to record and map them victims, many of whom include endangered species.
The data was retrieved March 22, 2022 by FLAP Global Bird Collision Mapper, a web application that reports and displays bird collision sites with buildings around the globe (many species unrecognized and those with reported bird collisions outside Canada are excluded for reasons for clarification).
