Reports of the fight in men around 20 broke out on Bolton Street around 5 this morning.
A fight is believed to have started at a packaged meal and then spilled into a street in a “fight” where men were heard shouting “come then”, according to reports.

One witness said: “One of them was holding a wooden board. “Everyone was trying to fight with each other.”
Then the passer-by saw “a guy falling to the floor”. “He was bleeding everywhere. I’m almost sure he was stabbed,” they said.
At least five police cars rushed to the scene after the man collapsed. The condition of the victim is unknown.

Speaking to MEN, a business owner said: “This would be the third knife in the area in just three months.
“I do not know what is happening, I do not feel safe anymore.
“I was here this morning and I could not open my shop, they just let me go now. “I have not sold a single thing.”
Another local business owner said: “We came here this morning and the police said I could not open my shop as soon as we opened now. All I have heard is that someone was stabbed outside the Tiger [The Blind Tiger.]”

Another resident said “it never was like that” and “you would never have thought that would happen” a year ago.
Police cordoned off Bolton Street at 6 a.m. as they conducted their search. The side streets were also cut with tape as police combed the area.
The exact nature of the incident has not yet been confirmed. Greater Manchester Police and the North West Ambulance Service have approached for comment.
