The number 10 said he would reveal publicly if Boris Johnson receives a fine. But Dominic Raab today suggested that Downing Street would not disclose whether Johnson’s wife, Carrie, would be fined. The justice minister said Ms Johnson was “not a minister or a politician”. Speaking to the BBC’s Mishal Husain, Mr Raab said: “The Metropolitan Police normally do not publish, and have made clear, the identities of individuals subject to certain sanctions. “Employers would not know this normally or necessarily. This would apply to the BBC, a publicly funded organization, as it would to the entire government. “I do not think it is right to have double measures and measures.” Ms Husain said people at the BBC were not “rule makers”. Mr. Raab retaliated by saying, “Sorry, Misal, this is where you are wrong, I’m afraid, because I do not think the prime minister ‘s wife is making rules either.”
