The landmark Aukus security pact will be expanded to include advanced high-speed weapons cooperation and the exchange of electronic warfare and cyber capabilities. Concealing key targets and developing laser weapons that could disrupt the missile’s flight could be part of plans for anti-ultrasonic weapons, British officials said. Announcing the plans, Sir Stephen Lovegrove, the prime minister’s national security adviser, said that in the light of President Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, it was “more important now than ever” for allies to work together to defend democracy and freedom.
