Police and other emergency services are currently at the scene on Dartmoor following reports of concern for the welfare of a man trapped in the dam. Burrator Parish Council posted on their Facebook page: “ROAD BLOCK AT BURRATOR DAM. Police and emergency services are attending to a tragic incident at Burrator Dam this afternoon and have closed the road over the dam to all vehicles. “The closure is expected to be in place for several hours and traffic and visitors are asked to avoid the area.” We will bring you updates as soon as we receive them.
