Jason Anderson, 22, was on duty in the back of an American Medical Reaction ambulance on Friday when he was “sexually assaulted and asked to have sex with a teenage patient,” according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. Anderson, from Wildomar, California, was held at the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center for sexually assaulting and sexually assaulting a 14- to 17-year-old victim. Anderson was released the next day on $ 75,000 bail. The sheriff’s officials believe there could be additional casualties. In a statement to KTLA, US Medical Response officials said an internal investigation was under way and the incident was reported to the Riverside Sheriff’s Office for further investigation. “This employee was placed on administrative leave during our internal investigation and has not worked since the day of the alleged incident,” US Medical Response officials said. Anderson is expected to appear in court on June 21.
