Alex Trejo, owner of the So-Cal Rattlesnake Removal, discovered a huge snake hiding on someone’s couch in San Diego County Chula Vista. “This guy yells at me, he’m quite frantic and he ‘s like’ There ‘s a snake on my couch,” Trejo recalls. Trecho receives such calls all the time, but even he was surprised by what he found. “I literally lift the pillow and there’s this giant Vietnamese 7-foot blue rat snake that just curled up right behind the pillow,” Trejo said. “You would be luckier to find a Rolex sitting on the ground than a snake like that.” The snake can reach 8 feet in length. Trejo says fighting a snake was not an easy task, but it is not poisonous – just sometimes defensive. The video showed the snake almost biting Trejo. He says it is legal to own these snakes, so it is probably a pet that has been released and ended up slipping into the house. The snake thrives in tropical weather and being out of control for a few days obviously affected it. Trejo says the snake now has a respiratory infection. An experienced exotic snake now takes care of it, Trejo said. “We really keep our fingers crossed hoping the snake will succeed,” Trejo said. Copyright © 2022 KABC Television, LLC.
