SAN JOSE – A Porsche driver allegedly fleeing from San Jose police went through a red light and hit another vehicle in a violent collision that nearly proved devastating to a cyclist who also violated traffic rules. Surveillance footage received by KTVU recorded the crash on Thursday. It shows a cyclist running with a red light on E. Julian Street and on N. 17th Street. At the same time, a Porsche SUV traveling in the opposite direction of the cyclist also has the red light. As Porsche enters the intersection, it hits a silver sedan that had the right of way. The two cars are standing opposite each other, pulling out a traffic light and coming to rest outside the house of Danny Ray, who gave the video. San Jose police also said they were not chasing the Porsche, but arrested the driver after the collision. No injuries were reported.
