Police have now launched an investigation into the incident that left the man in need of “emergency” medical treatment in the Old Firm clash on Sunday afternoon. The staff member who was hit by the bottle is believed to be a bodybuilder. Another glass bottle was also thrown on the field in a separate incident in the afternoon match. A Celtic spokesman said: “We can confirm that one of our staff members in the background was hit by a glass bottle. “Urgent medical attention and stitches were needed for a head injury.
