The NCAR fire broke out on Saturday afternoon. It was only 123 acres by Saturday night, but had not been reduced at all, officials said. “The state has developed two firefighting aircraft, including a tanker, an engineer and a Type 2 helicopter, and is ready to assist in the response,” Governor Jared Polis said in a statement. “We will continue to monitor this evolving situation.”
