From March 17 to March 24, people with the flu rose from 1.6 percent to 2.5 percent. The other bug that is currently appearing is norovirus, a stomach bug that causes vomiting and diarrhea. According to the UKHSA, from week nine to week 10 of 2022 there was a doubling of cases of norovirus. Professor Saheer Gharbia, UKHSA, Department of Gastrointestinal Pathogens and Food Safety, said: more, the number of cases has started to rise again. “Symptoms include sudden onset of nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, but may also include fever, abdominal pain and limb pain. “Stay home if you have symptoms of mumps and do not return to work or send the children to school or kindergarten for up to 48 hours after the symptoms have resolved.”
