Earlier Monday afternoon, crews made several efforts to bring the dog back to safety, with the first rescue call taking place around 2:15 p.m. The dog owner has since been rescued. Before pulling the dog out of the water and securing it in Studio City, crews urged people in Los Angeles to stay away and not try to save the dog. This comes after a passerby had to save himself after jumping into the water to try to save the dog.
