He said: “Will they put up signs saying they will not eat narcissus afterwards? This is completely awful. “There have always been graves in the park. It used to be an old orchard and there must have been about 1,000 flowers. “Most of them have been cut. “And to say that it is because it is toxic to children if they eat it is crazy.” Expressing grief over the massacre on social media, another resident said: “This must be in the hands of the police, pure vandalism, dismissal of anyone who made this awful decision.”

“Narcissus can be poisonous”

Health officials have confirmed that narcissus can cause severe vomiting and diarrhea if consumed inadvertently as a result of the flower’s toxicity. England public health had previously raised fears about narcissists in the early spring. In 2015, the health agency urged supermarkets not to place narcissists in front of stores to avoid putting shoppers at risk of poisoning. A spokesman for St Blaise City Council said: “After our recent game inspection training, we were advised not to have narcissists in playgrounds, as all parts of the narcissus can be poisonous. “I brought it to the attention of the city council, which said that no more mines should be planted, but those who were there before the land was given to us would stay. “The nafs are sporadic in an area with grass and as soon as the flowers die the grass will be cut.”
