I like working with Sally and I like the team there. “But Channel 5 came with big ambitions, big plans and I do not think such opportunities come very often and I look forward to it. “I have also had the incredible privilege of working on a number of flagship programs in recent years, both on the BBC and elsewhere. “What I like about this deal is that I not only present the news but also host a whole series of new programs across the channel. “And what an honor to get into Sian Williams shoes. I know how popular she is with both the team and the public. He said: “All I can say is that I will do my best to maintain its incredibly high standards.” Walker added in a statement: “I look forward to getting stuck in the daily newscast, but I’m also excited to make a great new TV show for Channel 5. “I love their ideas and creativity and it is rare to have such an opportunity where paths and ambitions meet. “The opportunity to do something different was too good for me to deny.” Outgoing Williams also sent a “warm welcome” to the presenter, but it was posted on Twitter in tremendous quality and the producer’s voice was heard. He said: “Dan Walker, welcome to your new home. I know what it’s like to move from the BBC Breakfast couch to the Channel 5 newsroom. “ He added: “I really liked it and I think you will love it too. Have fun and good luck. ‘ The presenter of Proino revealed on Monday that he is leaving the Corporation after six years to be the main presenter of the ITN channel.
