The burglary of the couple 40 40 million’s home in Kensington is believed to have happened late on the night of February 28, while they were at home with their 10-year-old daughter, the Sun reported. The burglary was not discovered until the couple’s son, Cruz Beckham, 17, returned home from a night out and found a broken window in a spare bedroom that had been “looted”. The family allegedly looked for the burglar, who had left the building by that point. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers responded to reports of a burglary at a W11 home in Kensington at 12:37 p.m. on March 1st. The burglary is believed to have taken place between 8.30 and 23.30. They added that a number of items were reported stolen. No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing. According to the Sun, the missing items included “thousands of pounds of branded and electrical items”. The newspaper argued that the burglar may have been a very professional “cat burglar” who used his athletic ability to climb over the gate and climb a sewer pipe before breaking the window of one of the house’s six bedrooms. David, a former England footballer, and Victoria, a fashion designer, are said to have been “shaken” to the point that they ordered a review of the security of the London mansion. The Beckhams neighborhood in Holland Park is known for the density of high-value luxury real estate, which has led to the nickname “millionaires”. Famous neighbors include music mogul Simon Cowell and singers Elton John and Robbie Williams. Cowell’s home was looted while he and his family slept in 2015, with the culprit stealing jewelery worth more than 1 1m and passports.
