(Sid) Sid, dear husband for 70 years in the recent departure of Maria, proud father of Alan and Ray and dear grandfather of Lisa and Noel. He died peacefully at the age of 95 in Lindsey Care Home, Cleethorpes on Tuesday, March 29. Sid was born, raised and lived in Grimsby all his life. He will also be fondly remembered by many who worked at Birds Eye Foods, Ladysmith Road, where he was in the Personnel Department for more than 40 years. A Family Memoriam for both him and Mary will be followed by a private cremation

Walter Lord

Peacefully, in the presence of his loving family after a brief illness he suffered with great courage and dignity in his home, on March 27, 2022, Wally died at the age of 88. The late husband of the late Janet, the dear father of Ian and Rachael, the dear father-in-law of Jane and Richard, the precious grandparents of Hannah, Brad, Nathan and the late Corey and their companions, adoring the great-grandfather of Isabelle, of Charlie, Harriet and Phoebe. A good friend to many, he will miss her very much. It is with great sadness that we announce that on Thursday, March 24, 2022, under the care of Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby with her beloved family by her side, Beryl died at the age of 82. Dedicated wife of Eric for 63 years. The adored mom of the late Karen, Phil’s beloved mother-in-law, Sami’s precious grandmother and Sophie’s beloved great-grandmother. David Dickinson

On March 22, David died peacefully at his home in Burton-upon-Humber, in the company of those he loved. Born in 1958, he worked tirelessly at Rod Mill at Scunthorpe Steelworks for many years, raising his family and later delivering basic equipment during the COVID pandemic throughout Yorkshire and Humber. Born and raised in Burton, David loved the city and its people. He was well known to many in the area for his humor and love of conversation. He will miss walking with his companion dog Jake. His unwavering passion for hill climbing, world travel and bird watching has kept him busy all these years and will not be forgotten by those who accompanied him on the road, nor by those who knew him as a season ticket holder on Elland Road where withstood the ups and downs of Leeds United with great enthusiasm. Beloved son of Joyce, brother of Andrew and Carol. Generous and wonderful father of Ciarán, Lara, Seán and Jen’s father-in-law. Stoic until the end. We will miss him very much.
