Furey states that the two leaders are aware of the unique opportunity the province has in relation to wind and hydrogen, noting that we have the resources, a workforce used in a marine climate and proximity to Europe. He says Germans are trying to move away from traditional oil products, and while that’s a transition that will happen over several decades, it’s exciting that Newfoundland and Labrador is at the “edge” of it.
