Detectives continue to investigate the serious fire on the Canterbury estate that resulted in the death of a man and a woman. The Bradford County CID is working with the West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service to investigate the cause of the fire on Bradford Ringwood Road this morning. The police were called by the ambulance and the fire brigade to the property at around 6.38 am. Firefighters who were present located the bodies of a 63-year-old woman and a 68-year-old man. It was confirmed that they died on the spot and autopsies will be performed to determine the causes of death. The DI Suzanne Hall of Bradford County, CID, said: “We are continuing to investigate this serious fire in which a man and a woman lost their lives. “The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but is being treated as a suspect. “The officers are not currently in charge of the matter and a full investigation will be conducted with the partners into the circumstances of what happened.”
