And sometimes I long for joy, light and fun in these dark clouds,” said Sanna Marin as she fought back tears at the Social Democratic Party (SDP) event in the city of Lahti, north of Helsinki . “It’s private, it’s joy and it’s life,” he said. “But I haven’t missed a day of work.” Ms Marin said the last week had been “quite difficult”. “I want to think that people will look at what we do at work rather than what we do in our free time,” he said. The 36-year-old sparked international outrage after clips of her dancing at a private party and exclusive nightclub were leaked to the press last week. Opposition leaders have condemned her behavior as unbecoming of a world leader. But others have advocated double standards. Hundreds of women around the world are posting footage of themselves partying in support of Ms Marin.
