Emergency services were called to Smallridge Close, Pensby, Wirral, around 4 a.m. Sunday, March 27, to report that a body had been found in a garden.  At the address, police found a man who was pronounced dead at the scene. 
Two women, both 20 and from Heswall, a 25-year-old from Eastham, a 23-year-old from Pensby and a 30-year-old from Thingwall, were arrested on suspicion of murder.  Police this morning confirmed that all three men and two women have now been released without further action.

Police remain at the scene this morning, Monday 28 March, while all investigations have been completed, including the forensic one. This morning, the police confirmed that the man’s closest relatives have been informed and the police are in contact with the medical examiner. An autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. Chief Inspector Simon Owen said Sunday: “We are in the extremely early stages of this investigation and our officers are working to determine what exactly happened in the early hours of today. “While we’ve made five quick arrests, our investigations are ongoing and we’ll appeal to anyone with any information to show up.
