The official declined to say how many tanks would be sent or from which countries they would come from, the newspaper reported. The tanks will allow Ukraine to carry out large-scale artillery strikes on Russian targets in the Donbas region of southeastern Ukraine, which borders Russia, the official said, according to the Times. 4. MoD: The fire in an oil depot will slow down Russia
The British military has said that the destruction of several oil tanks at a warehouse in the Russian city of Belgorod, near the Ukrainian border, is likely to add short-term pressure to Russia’s already expanding supply chains. “Supplies to Russian forces surrounding Harbiv (60 km from Belgorod) may be severely affected,” the Pentagon said in a statement. Earlier on Friday, Moscow said Ukrainian helicopters had hit a fuel depot in Belgorod, a logistics hub for its war effort, causing a massive fire. Ukraine has denied responsibility for the incident.
