Harley Dickinson was charged in March with sexual assault, sexual assault and sexual exploitation following complaints from 2015 reported to the RCMP in December 2021. The complaint concerned a student at Dickinson Primary School. Dickinson was released from custody before appearing in court on April 11, provided he did not possess a weapon or attend places where children under the age of 16 were likely to be present. The RCMP released his photo publicly after his arrest, as the investigation into Dickinson was ongoing. The photo was released to encourage anyone who knew about “any similar incidents” in which the accused is involved to appear. RCMP officials confirmed to CTV News that officers responded to a location at Range Road 32 in Mountain View County early Thursday afternoon following reports of a man not responding to a vehicle. Mounties will not confirm the identity of the man found dead in the vehicle, nor the nature of his death and the investigation is being conducted in Calgary. CTV News confirmed that Dickinson was dead. The charges against the former teacher were never tried in court.
