A police procession led the body of Pennsylvania State soldier Braden Siska to Perkiomen Valley High School on Saturday morning, where a public funeral was held to honor the fallen hero. Trooper Sisca fans gathered for a look at the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Funeral Home in Norristown on Friday. Siska and fellow Army soldier Martin Mack, along with a pedestrian who assisted, were all killed by a suspected drunk driver on I-95 near Lincoln Financial Field on March 21. Siska, 29, was the fire chief for the Trappe Fire Company. He comes from a family of first responders. His father is a deputy in the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. his father-in-law and his wife are members of the fire brigade. He was preparing to become a father in the coming months. “I’m broken. It ‘s just not like life should be,” said Chuck Testa, a Perkiomen Valley High School teacher who recalls having Siska in class. “Braden was very happy. A nice young man. Sometimes he had his silly moments, but it was always nice to be in class.” Siska enlisted in February last year and graduated from the 161st grade. On Thursday, it was a grim salute to Bucks County as law enforcement officials from across the area paid their last respects to soldier Mack. Mack spent his entire six-year police career at Troop K in the Wynnefield Heights section of Philadelphia.
