Matthew Tatsuk, in his 30th, Elias Lindholm and Rasmus Anderson also scored for Calgary (39-17-8), which is improving to 16-2-2 in its last 20 games at Saddledome. The home of the six games continues on Saturday with the guests of the Edmonton Oilers. Michael Carcone and Vladislav Kolyachonok, each with their first goals in the NHL, answered for Arizona (20-40-4). The Coyotes have lost four in a row. Jacob Markstrom made 16 stops in the victory and improved to 30-12-7. He is the first Flames goalkeeper to win 30 games in a season since Miikka Kiprusoff won 35 games in 2011-12. Karel Vejmelka had 29 saves for the Coyotes. It falls to 10-25-1. Tkachuk, Gaudreau, Lindholm (32) and Mangiapane (30) give the Flames four 30-goal scorers for the first time since 1993-94. Made that season by Gary Roberts (41), Theoren Fleury (40), Robert Reichel (40) and Joe Nieuwendyk (36). After an innocent 20-minute opening for both teams, the Flames broke out for three goals in eight minutes to start the second period. After thirty-three seconds, Tkachuk was left uncovered on the net and once scored Gaudreau’s cross. Three minutes later, Arizona took their first penalty in the game and it only took 15 seconds for the third worst penalty shootout in the league to deliver a goal. A beautiful lightning pass that started with Gaudreau towards Tkachuk was beautifully completed by Lindholm at 3:35. Tkachuk’s two-point night gives him 78 points at the top of his career. Gaudreau made it 3-0 at 8:14, with a 2-0 pass from Nikita Zadorov. Gaudreau decided not to cross against Blake Coleman, instead hitting a corner kick. It was the 200th goal of Gaudreau’s career and he became the sixth member of the NHL Draft in 2011 to reach the milestone. Gaudreau was selected in the fourth round by Calgary, 104th overall. The Coyotes took a back with 12 seconds left in the period when Carcone stole the elf in the final bullet and shot over Markstrom’s glove. The Calgary regained their three-goal lead in power play 5:21 in the third when Andersson picked up the elf in the neutral zone and brought the elf to the Coyotes edge, running among unsuspecting defenders as he crossed the blue line. He scored on a deck behind him as he lost his balance and slipped heavily on the final boards. Arizona came back at two when Kolyachonok once put Nick Schmaltz over Markstrom’s shoulder at 18:07, but they could not get close. Calgary finished 2-for-4 in power play while Arizona went 0-for-3. The Flames, who have the top NHL home penalty shootouts, have a perfect 24-on-24 record in their last eight games and have conceded just five home power goals in all season (86 chances). NOTES: The center of the Flames, Sean Monahan, was a healthy scratch. The seven-time scorer of 20 goals has been left 14 games without a point. … Arizona center Jay Beagle (lower body) returned to the starting lineup after losing 36 games. … Calgary improves to 10-3-2 against the Central Division.
