Following the news of Steinke’s retirement, Global Edmonton launched an extensive search across Canada for someone who reflects the values ​​that matter most to Edmontonians. Roberts is an award-winning investigative journalist who has been honored with multiple Edward R. Murrow Awards and RTDNA Awards. He is also a recipient of the Jack Webster Award. Veteran news anchor and reporter Scott Roberts has been named the new co-anchor of the Global News Hour on 6 Edmonton. Global News Born in Ontario, Roberts graduated with honors from Metropolitan University of Toronto (formerly Ryerson University) and began his career as a print journalist at the Toronto Star and then The Globe and Mail. He began his television career in Edmonton, where he worked as a weekend news anchor and reporter for CTV for five years. Most recently he co-anchored CTV News at Six in Vancouver.
