An investigation has been launched after a woman was tracked down at her home and raped by a stranger in south London. Police rushed to a home in Croydon at 9pm on Dec. 3 after a 40-year-old woman said she had been sexually assaulted. It appears that the man was walking down a street before the incident and followed the woman into the building. Detectives released an E-fit – a computer-generated image – of a man they would like to talk to about the incident and urged anyone with information to contact them. Detective Penelope Rea, the Croydon Public Protection team investigating, said: “It was a very scary ordeal for the victim and he continues to be supported by specialist officers as we continue to work to find the person responsible and bring him to justice. .
