A Lambton County man who escaped a vehicle that he crashed before it went up in flames wasn’t able to escape an impaired driving charge. First responders were called to a single-vehicle collision on Forest Road near Courtright Line in Enniskillen Township at around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, March 19. Lambton OPP said the vehicle had struck a guard rail prior to going up in flames. While speaking with the driver, police said the man was displaying signs of impairment. He was arrested and later provided two breath samples above the legal limit. The 57-year-old from Brooke-Alvinston has a court date set for next month.
