Infosys is believed to have 100 employees in the country and is trying to find replacements for them abroad, according to the BBC. Akshata Murthy, who met Sunak while studying at Stanford University, owns 0.9 percent of the company, with a stake worth about 400 400 million. Infosys was founded in 1981 by Murthy’s father, NR Narayana Murthy. He set up an engineering center in Moscow in 2016. Forbes estimates that Narayana, 75, has a net worth of ,5 3.5 billion. Sunak had been pressured by opposition parties to explain whether his family had benefited from Infosys continuing to work in Russia despite sanctions from the British government.
