Emergency crews were called to the spot, in the northern lanes of the highway just south of the 32nd Avenue exit, at about 3 p.m. Upon arrival, they found that two vehicles were involved. EMS told CTV News that four people were taken to Foothills Medical Center for treatment:

Adult woman in serious, potentially life threatening condition. Adult woman in stable, non-life threatening condition. Adult man in serious but stable condition. and Adult man in stable, non-life threatening condition.

As a result of the collision, traffic on the Deerfoot trail was affected.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., 511 Alberta reported that the crash had been cleared, but the CPS says it will remain in the area for investigation. This is a story that is evolving and we will have more details when they become available…
