Updated: 19:58, 28 March 2022 One person was taken to hospital after three rush hour accidents in Ipswich this afternoon. The three incidents occurred on Colchester Road, Landseer Road and Belstead Road in Suffolk County, and all closures were restored before 7 p.m., Suffolk police said. A police spokesman added that a man was taken to hospital as a “precautionary measure” following the incident on Belstead Street. The first accident, in which three vehicles were involved, occurred on Landseer Road in southeastern Ipswich at around 4.30pm. The road was partially blocked, while a vehicle was pulled out and a person was allegedly hit, a police spokesman said. The road was closed at the Heatherhayes turn and traffic was in line until the intersection with Stone Lodge Lane. One person was taken to hospital by the Ambulance Service of the East of England as a “precautionary measure”. At around 4.50pm, police were called to a collision between three vehicles on Colchester Road in northeastern Ipswich. Roads were closed in both directions on the A1214 motorway between Henley Street and Tuddenham Street as police and an ambulance responded to the incident. According to the AA Traffic Map, there is still some congestion on the A1214.
