The trip of the royal couple has been expressed with public relations misfortunes and protests, but the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge managed to put a united front on the cameras.

The couple has been married for almost 11 years and the royal benefactors have been thrilled with the sweet snapshots from their last engagement abroad. William and Kate have known each other since their college years, when they were both studying at St Andrews. As reported in The Mirror, when he arranged with Kate, many thought she was a very lucky lady. But when one of the now-Duchess’s friends asked her this question, she reportedly had an extremely cheeky answer. During their college days, a friend told Kate how lucky she was to be dating William. And according to Claudia Joseph, author of Kate Middleton: Princess in Waiting, Smiling, Kate simply replied, “He’s lucky to have me.” As their Caribbean tour concludes, the royal couple will be reunited with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The youngsters were watching their parents’ progress on the tour – and George seems to be responsible. William explained that George was sticking pins on a world map with each of the destinations his parents had visited, and then shared the information with both Charlotte and Lewis. He said: “We inform them where we are and he finds us on the map and puts a pin and shares it with the others.” They will also be reunited with their children on Mother’s Day – and little ones will no doubt want to show their appreciation to Kate. So will she be in line for a great gift? Or maybe a cake like last year? On Mother’s Last Day, Louis, George and Charlotte created the delight in honor of both Kate and Carole Middleton’s mom. A moving post on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Twitter page showed a picture of a Victoria Sponge next to a photo of Kate holding her mom’s hand as a child. The photo of the cake, which was decorated with hearts, was also shared on Kensington Royal’s Instagram page. In a post on social media, the couple said: “We are celebrating two other special mothers today. Made by George, Charlotte and Louis.” Receive the latest gossip and TV celebrity news sent directly to your inbox. Subscribe to Showbiz’s weekly newsletter here .
