A one-year-old pug has miraculously survived after being stabbed repeatedly during a vicious attack by a gang of dogs. The pug, named Sid, was with his owner Luke and a friend, who was walking his Shih Tzu puppy. They were approached by a group of three young men in Darenth Country Park, Dartford, at around 1pm on Thursday. The gang first tried and failed to get Shih Tzu before turning their attention to Sid. He was injured three times, including in the neck, and was rushed to the vet who said they were shocked he was alive. The attack happened when Luke took the pet for a walk for the first time since he and his partner Claire got it in March. Now they’re dying to take Sid out, Claire revealed. “(Luke) called me right after it happened and I felt sick, I just didn’t know what to do at all,” she said. Sid had to undergo surgery and was given pain medication at the vets. He sleeps a lot, but should recover with time and rest, reports KentOnline. But Claire fears he’s not the same anymore. “When he came back yesterday, he was very different, he wasn’t himself at all,” she said. “He was restless, even when I tried to pet him he would flinch. “He wouldn’t wag his tail or anything, he was just a completely different dog, but I don’t know if that was because of the anaesthetic.” To view this video, please enable JavaScript and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Kent Police have confirmed they have received a report of an attempted robbery and have launched an investigation.
