To date, LG has released Android 12 on the Velvet, but not much else. The LG V60 ThinQ and the LG Wing, the last two major “flagship” devices in the company’s lineup, have not yet seen the update and it looks like it will not change any time soon. A new roadmap released by LG this week confirms Android 12 updates for three smartphones. In the second quarter of 2022, LG says that the following devices will receive Android 12: Great news, for sure, but it’s definitely weird that the LG V60 and LG Wing have been neglected so far. While the Wing was a weird release, both phones were generally well received – the V60 was particularly influential in our review. It is a pity that the V60 does not have Android 12 yet, especially when the previous LG V50 is updated. LG lists a Wing update coming in the second quarter, but only to “enhance the security of your phone with Google security updates.” In other words, just a security patch. As usual, this change log only applies to Korea, but updates there usually extend to the rest of the world in the weeks and months to come.
